    What Engineers Say

    Feedback from Power Projects Participants

    ★★★★★

"I came across Power Projects' live webinars on solar farm design using PVsyst. With an open mind that knowledge has no boundaries, I decided to sit through the webinars after my work hours. I enjoyed most of it and I can now probably design a solar farm site using PVsyst software. Selvakumar S is one of the most technically knowledgeable people I have come across."

Paricxit Dahal — Power System Engineer, ElectraNet Pty Ltd
    ★★★★★

"I have completed another course from Power Projects related to solar power plant design. This is not a promotional post — but being a student here for 2+ years, I'd highly recommend this platform to engineers in the power segment. It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge. Thank you for your teaching, keep sharing the knowledge."

Harsh Bhoi — Design Engineer, Addwatt Power Solutions Pvt Ltd
    ★★★★★

"From the technical sessions of Selvakumar S and Jeyakumar Velusamy, it is very fun and interesting to learn with them. I had finished preparing my preliminary learning report for some of the sessions. The knowledge sharing approach and depth of content are outstanding."

Karthikeyan SK — Power System Engineer
    ★★★★★

"When I joined Power Projects' training program, I had very little knowledge of power system studies. By the end of the course I learned a lot and am now able to execute projects on my own in just 3–4 months. I consider it the best decision of my life. The amount Power Projects charge is very nominal compared to the knowledge you receive."

    FAQ

    Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need prior solar or PVsyst experience?
No — this PVsyst course is designed for all levels. We start from the fundamentals of solar energy, latitude/longitude, and irradiance before moving into detailed PVsyst simulations. Beginners are welcome.
Is PVsyst software free to use during training?
PVsyst offers a free trial version that is sufficient for most training sessions. We guide you through how to access and install PVsyst at the start of the course and which version works best for each session.
What is P50 and P90 in solar energy analysis?
P50 is the median expected annual energy yield — there is a 50% probability of exceeding it. P90 is the conservative estimate with a 90% probability of being exceeded. Both are critical for financial modelling and are fully covered in Session 7.
What are PAN, OND, and BTR files in PVsyst?
PAN files store PV module parameters, OND files store inverter parameters, and BTR files store battery parameters in PVsyst. Session 4 covers all three file types in detail — how to import, validate, and use them in project designs.
Is a real solar project simulation included?
Yes — Session 8 is dedicated to a complete real-time solar project, applying everything from Sessions 1–7. You produce a full energy yield simulation and analysis report as if you were delivering it to a real client.
    Will I receive a certificate?
Yes — a Power Projects PVsyst certificate is issued upon course completion. This credential from a practising power system and solar engineering consultancy adds real value to your professional profile and CV.
