Power Projects is pleased to announce that we have been entrusted with the grid compliance study for a technically advanced hybrid renewable energy project involving solar PV, battery storage, and power conditioning systems.
Project Overview
- 300 MW Existing Solar
- 240 MW Upcoming PV (dedicated for BESS charging)
- 300 MW Power Conversion System (PCS)
- 1400 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)
Scope of Work
The study will be conducted using PSS®E and PSCAD, and will cover the full range of CEA and CTU grid compliance requirements, including:
- Load Flow and Reactive Power Capability
- Harmonic Analysis, DC Injection, and Flicker Study
- Low Voltage and High Voltage Ride-Through Simulations (LVRT/HVRT)
- Frequency Ride-Through and Active Power Ramp Rate Tests
- Dynamic Reactive Power Support (DPRS) in voltage, power factor, and Q-control modes
- Steady-state and dynamic reports with submission-ready compliance models
Significance
This project is a key example of the industry’s shift toward integrated hybrid systems. With BESS and future PV charging incorporated at scale, compliance planning becomes critical. Power Projects is proud to support this initiative with robust simulations and regulator-aligned documentation for a smooth CTU approval process.
