Power Projects is pleased to announce the award of a high-voltage Insulation Coordination Study for a major renewable energy power evacuation infrastructure project in the Middle East.

The project involves detailed analysis and insulation coordination for 400 kV, 220 kV, and 33 kV systems associated with large-capacity transformer networks and GIS infrastructure.

Our engineering team will execute the study using PSCAD simulations in compliance with IEC standards to support system reliability, equipment protection, and optimized insulation performance under transient conditions.

Awarded Study Scope

The scope includes detailed PSCAD-based transient studies for EHV network systems covering seven critical study areas.

TOV Study

Temporary overvoltage assessment under system switching and fault conditions

SFO Study

Slow front overvoltage analysis for switching surge evaluation

FFO Study

Fast front overvoltage assessment for lightning surge impacts

VFFO Study

Very fast front overvoltage analysis for GIS disconnector operations

Transferred Surge Study

Assessment of surge transfer across transformer windings

TRV Study

Transient recovery voltage assessment for circuit breaker capability

Surge Arrester Coordination

Surge arrester assessment, selection, and coordination across all voltage levels
