1564 MW (South Block) + 961 MW (North Block) | Bondada Group

The awarded capacity includes:
- 1564 MW – South Block
- 961 MW – North Block
Both blocks are interconnected at a 400 kV Point of Interconnection (POI).
This is one of the largest renewable grid integration assignments currently under execution.
Project Overview – 400 kV Grid Connectivity Validation
The project involves complete Grid Connectivity and Grid Compliance validation for large-scale solar integration.
At 400 kV interconnection level, modelling precision directly impacts regulatory approval timelines.
The objective is to validate plant performance under:
- Steady state grid conditions
- Power quality requirements
- Voltage and frequency disturbances
- Multi-developer integration scenarios
Scope of Work – Grid Compliance Studies
- Steady State Analysis (RMS – PSS®E)
- Reactive Power Capability validation
- Voltage variation studies at 1.05, 1.0 and 0.95 pu
- Power factor validation from 0.95 lag to 0.95 lead
This confirms reactive power support capability at the POI.
- Power Quality Study (EMT – PSCAD)
- Harmonic analysis
- DC current injection assessment
- Flicker analysis
Power quality compliance at 400 kV is critical for CTU approval.
- Dynamic Stability Studies (RMS & EMT – PSSE & PSCAD)
- Low Voltage Ride Through (LVRT)
- High Voltage Ride Through (HVRT)
- Frequency Ride Through capability
- Active Power Ramp Rate validation
- Dynamic Reactive Power Support (DPRS)
- Frequency response test with ±0.03 Hz dead band
- Droop validation at 3% and 6%
- Ramping capability demonstration (+10% per minute limit)
These simulations validate plant behaviour during real grid disturbance conditions.
Multi-Developer Model Validation at 400 kV POI
The assignment includes combined validation of multiple developer models connected to a common 400 kV interconnection point.
Scope includes:
- Dynamic model integration
- System-level coordination
- Combined response validation
- Compliance alignment with Grid Code requirements
Such large-capacity integration requires structured modelling and disciplined simulation workflow.
Deliverables
The project deliverables include:
- Steady State Study Report
- Power Quality Study Report
- Dynamic Study Report – PSSE
- Dynamic Study Report – PSCAD
- Benchmarking Report
- Native Simulation Files
Execution Timeline
The complete scope will be executed within a 10-week schedule from receipt of final inputs.
Structured execution methodology ensures timely submission and approval support.
