We are delighted to announce that we have secured a significant project for the electrical design and power system studies of a 185MWac Solar PV Plant located in Indiana, US.

The project’s scope encompasses a wide range of studies, including Reactive Power Compensation, Energy Loss Study, cable Ampacity Study, and Short Circuit Study. These comprehensive studies will ensure the efficient and safe operation of the plant, which interconnects with the 230kV Hillsdale substation. We are excited to contribute to this innovative venture in sustainable energy.
The plant consists of one 230/34.5 kV 250 MVA main power transformer and 51 numbers of 4.2 MVA 34.5/0.63 kV Generating Step Up (GSU) transformer within each inverter block, there are five 840 kW inverters at 0.63 kV, each with a 4.2 MVA capacity. These inverter blocks are interconnected to the low-voltage (LV) side of the Generating Step Up transformers.
The simulation cases will be framed to evaluate the reactive power capability of the inverter in compliance with the grid code at the Point of Interconnection (POI). Congratulations to Madhan and Gokul for the successful execution of the project. Congratulations to Selvakumar and Ajith for bagging the project.
