We are delighted to announce a remarkable milestone as we have successfully concluded an ARC FLASH analysis project for Carboline, a leading manufacturer of fireproofing materials

The Scope involves conducting a site survey and carrying out short circuit analysis, relay coordination and Arc Flash analysis for a manufacturing plant. Additionally, we provided support with Arc flash labeling within the facility.

The industrial plant receives a 0.44 kV power supply from TNEB, which is directly connected to the low voltage (LV) panel board featuring three main buses. These buses distribute power to various lighting and motor loads. In the event of a grid failure, the network is supported by two diesel generators rated at 125 kVA and 35 kVA respectively.
The industry comprises a total of 25 buses, including five main panels and 20 switchboards. Notably, the plant relies solely on fuses for protection, and these fuses are responsible for instantaneous tripping, ensuring the minimum possible incident energy .The fuses utilized in this facility are of the HRC type, and their tripping characteristics and impact on Arc flash were documented and presented to the customer.
🔸Arc Flash studies were performed at each bus in accordance with IEEE 1584 – 2018, IEEE 1584.1 – 2022, and appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) was recommended in accordance with NFPA-70E 2021 guidelines.
🔸ETAP 22 software was used to run the simulation produce results.
Also, we are delighted to share that we have received appreciation letter from our valued customer Carboline for the successful completion of the Arc Flash project mentioned above. The letter serves as a testimonial to the dedication of our team who worked to ensure the project’s successful Completion.

Congratulations to Selvakumar S and Ajithkumar Gunasekaran for bagging the project, And Congratulations to Jeyakumar Velusamy and Sathishkumar for your dedication and hard work shown in the project.
