Power Projects is proud to support another clean energy milestone — the successful completion of all grid studies for the Braintree Solar Farm in the UK under G99, P28, and G5/5 requirements.

Project Snapshot:
- Location: Braintree, UK
- Installed Capacity: 27.6 MVA (6 x 4.6 MVA inverters)
- Compliance Focus: G99 (Grid Code), P28 (Voltage Fluctuations), G5/5 (Harmonics)
What We Delivered:
- Load Flow & Reactive Power Studies – Verified transformer and cable loading under N-1 and voltage swing conditions
- G99 Reactive Power Compliance – Met lagging/leading MVAr requirements at full and partial export
- Fault Level Analysis – Validated contribution to grid fault levels and breaker adequacy at both 33 kV and 0.69 kV
- Frequency Response Study – Simulated LFSM-U/O and FSM modes, confirming stable MW reduction within 4 seconds
- Voltage Control & Stability – Demonstrated less than 1-second response to ±2%/5% voltage steps and less than 5% peak oscillations
- FRT & FFCI Studies – Simulated 3-phase, 2-phase, and single-phase faults. Achieved full reactive current injection within 20 ms and MW recovery within 0.5 seconds
Standards Met:
- G99 – Type C PPM dynamic & steady-state criteria
- ENA EREC P28 – Voltage step change and flicker limits
- ENA EREC G5/5 – Harmonic distortion limits (THD & individual orders)
Whether it’s 5 MW or 500 MW — we help developers ensure their renewable assets are fully grid compliant with UK standards from day one.
