Study has been carried out using ETAP 22.0 in compliance with IEEE1584-2018, IEEE1584.1-2022 & NFPA 70E 2021 recommendations.
The Plant receives the power supply through 33kV Transmission line from APSPDCL. The electrical system is fed from 33 kV grid through 1 No of 33/11kV,5000kVA transformer, 2 Nos of 11/0.433kV, 1600kVA transformer and 1 No of 11/0.433kV,2000kVA transformer. 5 Nos of 750kVA 0.415kV DG &1 No of 1010 kVA 0.415 DG to feed the system during emergency conditions, when the grid is not available.
Since the existing settings are not optimised for Arc flash studies, incident energy is beyond 40cal/cm². PowerProjects has not only optimised the relay setting for Arc flash studies, but also effectively utilized the features available in the relay to reduce the fault clearing time. Multistage settings available help to reduce the fault clearing time and inrush blocking facilities effectively used to increase the sensitivity of the protection.
The Multigroup settings are adopted wherever possible, which helps clear the fault as soon as possible. Arc flash labels are provided for all switchgears with necessary details and clear marking taps are laid in presence of our engineer for safety.
Congratulations to Selvakumar and Ajith for bagging the project and Congratulations to Kishore for the successful execution of the project.
