We are happy to announce that we have bagged a Power system studies project for one of the largest commercial undertakings in India that is engaged in the business of refining, transportation and marketing the Petroleum products and Regasified LNG(RLNG)
There was a proposal for expansion of existing 5 MMTPA capacity to 10MMTPA capacity and also intended to set up a 20 MMSCMD for LNG import, storage and Regasification Terminal including LNG road tankers loading facility.
The scope of the project is to perform Load Flow Studies, Short Circuit Studies & Motor Starting Study.
The system receives power supply from 33kV voltage level. It consists of 3X9.4 MW Gas Engine Generators & 2X18 MW Gas Turbine Generators at 11 kV Voltage level. The challenge is to maintain the power factor at the grid above 0.95 PF with minimum possible real power import (Floating grid). On the other hand the generator has to be operated in isochronous load sharing in standalone mode.
Congratulations to Selvakumar and Jeyakumar for bagging the project. And Congratulations to Madhan for the successful execution of the project in time.
