We are happy to announce that we have bagged a Power System Study project from SHV Energy Private Limited gas industry at Tuticorin in Tamil Nadu.

The Scope of the project is to perform
1. Short circuit study
2. Relay Co-ordination

The Plant receives the power supply from TANGEDCO at 22 kV. System consist MV motors at 3.3kV, Emergency Diesel Generator at 3.3 kV and many 0.415 kV motors.
Through fault current of the transformer in the normal operating condition (Grid) is more than the close in fault current during emergency operation (EDG). This results in unnecessary delay in the fault clearing during emergency operation and causing equipment failures. In addition, there were many nuisance tripping in 3.3 kV motor feeders during starting.
Multi group and Multi Stage protection settings are necessary to increase the sensitivity without compromising on Selectivity. Sensitivity of earth fault protection is another challenge during Emergency operation since the SLG current of the generator is limited to very small value.

Congratulations to Selvakumar and Jeyakumar for bagging such a challenging project.
