We were entrusted with the responsibility of protection coordination and unit protection for a remarkable 440MW solar power project.
This endeavor was part of the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan’s ambitious renewable energy strategy, facilitated by the IFC Transaction Advisory. Our role entailed:
1. Providing protection coordination from 30kV to 220kV switchgear.
2. Implementing transformer differential protection for 2 numbers of 130MVA transformers.
3. Ensuring busbar differential protection for 220kV busbars.
4. Installing distance protection for 2 numbers of 220kV transmission lines.
The primary objective of this study was to ensure seamless protection coordination across all devices, from generation points to interconnection, during fault or disturbance events.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Selvakumar S and Ajithkumar Gunasekaran for their exceptional contributions in securing this project.
