The scope of the project is to perform is to perform arc flash study based on IEEE-1584-2018 and IEEE-1584.1-2022. The scope also includes mitigation methods to reduce the incident energy level below 25cal/cm^2 and recommend suitable personal protective equipment (PPE) based on NFPA70E.
The Plant receives power supply from a 33 kV. Diesel generators are also available to cater the loads during the grid failure. Large change in fault current and fault clearing time in grid mode and DG mode results in higher incident energy for few switchgears in grid mode and few switchgears in DG mode.
